GSOC operates state-wide facilities to generate and transmit power on the Georgia power grid and requires vigilant professionals to monitor, respond, and administer physical security systems. We are seeking candidates with availability to work the following schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday 2pm-10pm, Friday & Saturday 9am-5pm, and off Sunday & Monday. Job Duties: + All levels + Monitoring and response to physical security alarm systems, surveillance equipment, notification systems, life-safety systems, and other systems or performing walkdowns as required. Response includes supporting escalated security activities with internal staff and external resources such as federal, state, and local law enforcement. + Track, escalate, and reports all activity to relevant authorities while maintaining auditable logs of all required security related activities. + Supports all incoming phone and email requests (such as reports of suspicious activity, physical security issues, requests for access, requests to be redirected to other teams.) + Create and distribute access badges as directed. + Responsible for written communications that inform situational awareness to relevant stakeholders. + Participates in continuous improvement activities, regular operations drills, and training exercises. + Provide backup monitoring and response to alerts in the communications network and cyber security infrastructure, and for other operations teams as required. + Security Operator II + Duties as outlined above + Conducts on the job training and certification with other security operators. + Security Operator III + Duties as outlined above + Includes team leadership responsibilities such as generating reports, presentations, procedures development, and assisting with staff scheduling. Required Qualifications: Education: Associates degree in related security, law enforcement, or business-related field preferred Experience: + Security Operator I: Specific physical security experience not required. + Security Operator II: 2 years of experience in physical security, military, law enforcement, or related field. + Security Operator III: 4 years of experience in physical security, military, law enforcement, or related field. Equivalent Experience: + Security Operator I: 2 years of experience in physical security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related field. + Security Operator II: 4 years of experience in physical security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related field. + Security Operator III: 6 years of experience in physical security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related field. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations All positions must obtain and maintain Bulk Electric System Cyber Authorized Status as defined in GSOC's CIP Cyber Security Policy 301 and NERC Reliability Standard CIP 004 - Personnel Risk Assessment. (GSOC provided.) Preferred industry certifications include: + PSP - Physical Security Professional + PSC - Physical Security Certification + CPP - Certified Protection Professional Specialized Skills Customer Service, Surveillance Skills, Dealing with Uncertainty, Judgment, Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity, Safety Management, Professionalism, Reporting Skills. Preferred computer skills include Microsoft Windows, SharePoint, Outlook, ID badge systems, camera monitoring systems. Work Schedule Involves a rotating shift work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, to provide 24x7 coverage.
