Physical Design Engineer, Place & Route & DTCO
**CTG is seeking to fill a Physical Design Engineer – Place & Route & DTCO position for our client.** **Location:** Remote **Duration:** 11 months **Duties:** + Implement and adapt Place and Route (PnR) reference flows to enable Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) initiatives. + Modify and maintain core PnR components, including standard cell libraries, technology files, and flow parameters, to support DTCO objectives. + Develop, enhance, and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Tcl) to enable efficient execution, analysis, and evaluation of DTCO Place and Route runs. + Manage, distribute, and provide ongoing support for PnR flows used by the DTCO team. + Integrate, validate, and troubleshoot custom libraries and technology collateral within established PnR flows. + Collaborate closely with DTCO, library, and technology teams to ensure alignment of physical design methodologies with advanced process nodes. **Skills:** + Strong hands-on experience with Place and Route tools, specifically **Synopsys Fusion Compiler** and **Cadence Innovus** . + Advanced scripting skills in **Tcl** , **Python** , and **SKILL/PCell** . + Solid understanding of physical design flows, timing closure, power optimization, and design rule constraints. + Experience supporting and optimizing reference flows for advanced-node physical design and DTCO use cases. + Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. **Experience:** + 5+ years of experience in physical design engineering with a focus on Place and Route. + Proven experience implementing, customizing, and supporting PnR flows in a DTCO or advanced technology development environment. + Experience working with custom libraries and technology files is highly preferred. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. + Master’s degree in a related technical discipline preferred. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $115,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
