Job Description

NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego are looking for a Photographer to help our news team gather and present compelling news stories to our viewers. You will be responsible for shooting and editing stories, including spot news and features, and setting up live shots.

Job Responsibilities:

Record news eventsUnderstand and practice ethical journalismGather news facts and create compelling stories when on assignment with or without a reporterWork with daily deadlinesEdit video for broadcast, streaming and social platforms.Responsible for daily operation of all ENG equipment including ENG cameras, ENG editing gear, audio, lighting and microwave equipment, and cellular bonded technologyMonitor and understand government and public service radio frequenciesOperate motor vehicles and live trucksPerform other related duties to ensure high quality news coverageContribute to social media coverage

QualificationsMinimum of 2 years' experience as a news photographerHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate requiredMust be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds of gearMust submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be consideredMust be willing to work in San DiegoWillingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short noticeMust have a valid driver’s licenseMust have the ability to work any of a 24/7 shiftMust be able to provide a reel/portfolio of work examples -- if available, include a web address when you submit your resume

Additional Requirements:

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000
