Position Summary:
USGP is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomy Technician to support the Blood Donor Center at the Womack Army Medical Center. This role provides a unique opportunity to serve alongside highly qualified healthcare professionals in a respected federal facility, offering critical support to both active-duty service members and veterans.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent AND completion of a Phlebotomy program accredited by the Joint Commission or the College of American Pathologists (CAP)Experience: Minimum of 50 successful donor blood collections within the last two years at an accredited labCertifications:Certified/registered in Phlebotomy by ASCP or AMTCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):

Hepatitis B (series and titer)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)Varicella (Chickenpox)TB (Tuberculosis) testSeasonal Influenza (flu) vaccineCOVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)

Primary Responsibilities:

Follow all applicable CFR, Blood Services Directives, Local Operating Procedures, and Exposure Control Plan policiesPerform blood collection and donor care procedures in compliance with federal regulations and internal protocolsEnsure a safe and comfortable experience for all donorsEngage with donors to encourage future donationsPerform other related duties as assigned
