Job Title: Phlebotomist I - Port Royal

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team, responsible for performing blood collections and specimen processing for various tests across all age groups. This role demands superior customer service and attention to detail in data entry and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.Accurately and timely enter patient information into the system.Process billing information and collect payments when required.Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.Provide superior customer service to all patients.Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.Travel to additional sites when needed.

Essential Skills

1-2 years of recent phlebotomy experience.Experience with geriatric and pediatric patients.Ability to draw blood from 25+ patients per day.Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Work Environment

Work within a renowned diagnostic laboratory. The position operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Royal, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.75/hr.
