Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist I to join our team in Griffin. The candidate will be responsible for performing blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups. The role involves labeling specimens, centrifuging, and updating patient information while ensuring superior customer service.
PAY - $ 17.75 - $18.85/hour
Responsibilities
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.Label and prepare specimens for testing and analysis according to established procedures.Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests.Accurately enter patient information into data systems.Maintain patient and specimen information logs.Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.Essential Skills
2+ years of recent experience in phlebotomy.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience drawing blood and processing specimens.Proficient in working with pediatric to geriatric age groups.Proven customer service experience.Experience with 25+ patient draws per day.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Comfortable working under minimal supervision.Flexibility to work overtime as needed.Work Environment
The position is located at 619 South 8th Street, Griffin, Georgia, within an Internal Medicine facility and the PSC. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. Training will be provided at the PSC, typically lasting 2-3 weeks. You will work alongside a team of phlebotomists, managing an average of 80-150 patients in Internal Medicine and 60-80 patients in the PSC, covering responsibilities such as blood drawing, order entry, and conducting various tests.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.75 - $18.75/hr.
