Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. You will be responsible for performing blood draws, labeling specimens, recording maintenance data, decontaminating equipment, and updating patient information. Your expertise will contribute to providing essential healthcare services in our community.
Responsibilities
Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.Explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process clearly and courteously to patients.Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.Understand and follow physicians' orders accurately.Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.Ensure all test labels are 100% correct.Store specimen samples at required temperatures and place them in appropriate collection containers.Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.Essential Skills
Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.Experience in specimen collection and laboratory procedures.Strong understanding of medical and healthcare protocols.Excellent customer service skills.Valid phlebotomy certification for Nebraska.2+ years of experience working with pediatric patients.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Opportunity to gain a B.A. degree in Health Sciences.Experience in health care settings.Work Environment
This facility primarily serves children but works with patients of all ages. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. The work attire includes scrubs and lab coats, which are provided.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
