Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist who is proficient in blood collection using both venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups. The ideal candidate will be adept at pediatric blood collections and handling difficult draws, especially in medical office buildings. A comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety is essential, as well as the ability to effectively communicate these principles to other employees. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of providing orientation and training for patient services.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.Conduct pediatric blood collections and manage difficult draws in medical office buildings.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and effectively communicate their importance to team members.Provide orientation and training for new patient service staff.

Essential Skills

High School DiplomaCPT 1 License1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, including Pediatrics, ICU, and High Volume.Ability to work in an inpatient environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Flexibility to work on-call and same-day shifts.Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends.

Work Environment

This is an on-call position requiring a flexible and adaptable individual. The role involves working across multiple locations, primarily at Riverside, with opportunities to work at Moreno Valley and other nearby locations. The position requires availability for various shifts and weekend work. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift, Monday-Friday, at a single location for the initial weeks. The dress code for this role is scrubs, and candidates must be prepared for same-day call-ins due to the nature of the role.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Riverside, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
