Job Title: Philanthropic Services SpecialistJob Description

As a Philanthropic Services Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and efficient services both over the phone and in writing to existing donors and prospects. You will employ a personal and professional approach to attract new prospects and retain existing donors, acting as the voice of the program and donor.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure responsiveness by promptly addressing incoming calls and correspondence from donors and prospects.Provide accurate information and engage in active listening to deliver high-quality service.Maintain non-judgmental and professional communication with all donors and prospects.Accurately enter gathered information on account advisors and prospects into the internal recordkeeping system, Gemini.Research and resolve donor issues within established timeframes while interacting with internal and external resources.Monitor account activity and communicate status updates to donors according to guidelines.Understand the necessary levels of approval required by senior staff for specific transactions and communications.Maintain and communicate a good level of knowledge regarding donor-advised funds, tax, and charitable giving.Address questions from prospective donors, determine their needs, position benefits accordingly, and handle objections.Make informed decisions on when to involve senior staff in elevated situations.Recommend improvements to enhance workflow and create greater efficiencies.Manage follow-up activities with donors and prospects consistent with stated criteria.Support extended phone coverage hours as needed.Contribute to business-planning initiatives and participate in all relevant meetings and training sessions.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in business, economics, or finance obtained in 2023 or later.Experience in customer-facing settings such as hospitality, banking, collections, financial planning, loan processing, or B2B.Proficiency in accounting and client service.Strong customer support skills.Proficiency in Excel.
Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious internship experience is a plus.Experience in business planning is desirable.
Work Environment

The team consists of 15 members and operates onsite two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) with a 37.5-hour workweek. There is a blackout period for PTO from October 15 to January 15, although the organization does not operate on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. During November and December, increased business hours and overtime are required. Candidates must provide holiday and vacation requests prior to interviewing, which could impact selection. The role offers a hybrid work environment at 45 Liberty Boulevard, Malvern, PA.

This is a Contract position based out of Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
