Job Description
Join our team as a PHE Mechanic Trainee in the Plated Heat Exchanger department, where you will assist assemblers and welders in the manufacturing of Plated Heat Exchangers. Your role will involve a variety of tasks from minor assembly to maintaining clean work areas using hand tools and various equipment for the repair process.
ResponsibilitiesConstantly lift, move, and stack materials.Receive, count, document, and label parts.Sweep, clean, and organize work areas.Read and interpret drawings and blueprints.Inspect, photograph, and document irregularities in materials.Follow directions with strong attention to detail.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years experience in assembly or mechanical work.experience in automotive mechanics is preferred.Proficiency with hand tools and pneumatic tools.Ability to follow directions and listen effectively.Good hand/eye coordination and finger dexterity.High School Diploma or GED.Additional Skills & QualificationsStable work history is highly valued.Strong mechanical skills are essential.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing setting that refurbishes heat exchange units. Collaborate in a team environment where daily responsibilities vary. Initially, start on 1st Shift (6am-4:30pm) for approximately 4 weeks, transitioning to 2nd Shift (2pm-10:30pm). Currently, working 10-hour shifts with occasional weekend work when needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.25 - $17.25/hr.
