Job Title: Pharmacy Technician IIIJob Description

The Pharmacy Technician III role is crucial in supporting pharmacists by completing tasks related to drug therapy orders, prescription management, and maintaining patient records. This position collaborates with team leads to resolve issues and complete project tasks while serving as a subject matter expert in pharmacy operations.

ResponsibilitiesAssist pharmacists in practicing pharmacy in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and departmental policies by accurately interpreting and entering prescription orders.Notify physicians of incomplete or incorrect prescription information and perform physician outreach within legal limits.Assist in obtaining verbal orders for product replacement and missing prescription information from healthcare providers.Manage patient adherence processes and schedule medication deliveries according to Pharmacy Solutions guidelines.Help patients with treatment compliance by updating medications, allergies, and medical conditions, and triaging calls to Nursing or Pharmacists as needed.Use internal and web tools to investigate benefits and verify prescription coverage with health insurance payors and providers.Identify and recommend process/system improvements to enhance pharmacy operations efficiency and productivity.Interact professionally with internal and external teams to ensure accurate service provision to patients.Collaborate with necessary personnel to support changing business priorities, handle calls, prioritize work, and perform testing as required by the business.Maintain current Illinois Certified Pharmacy Technician licensure and continuing education requirements.Essential SkillsPharmacy technician certificate and license.3-5 years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy, Retail/Mail Order Pharmacy, PBM, or healthcare provider settings.Familiarity with medical record handling, prescription data entry, and high-quality customer service.Strong core insurance knowledge and experience with online verification systems.Attention to detail, decision-making skills, and professional communication abilities.Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Word or Excel applications.Certified Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois.Additional Skills & QualificationsFlexible work schedule with the ability to work between 7am and 7pm.Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communication.Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Collaborative and cross-functional acumen.Work Environment

This position offers a unique opportunity to work onsite at a pharmacy space located at North Chicago headquarters. The role requires a flexible schedule with availability between 7am and 7pm. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
