**PURPOSE AND SCOPE:** Performs applicable general pharmacy technician duties and assists with filling prescriptions. Contributes to the provision of quality pharmacy services to dialysis and other patients in accordance with state pharmacy regulations and Fresenius Medical Care Pharmacy policies and procedures. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Under Pharmacist guidance and per company policies and procedures, assists with dispensing of products and performs general pharmacy technician duties as follows: Monitor the drug file in the software application and prepare prescriptions for central fill Prepares prescription through data entry for Pharmacist verification Assist the shipping department with packaging, distribution, and tracking of patient orders Creates and updates patient’s health and demographic information in system Enter patient, medical, or prescription order data into the patient information system Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state, and federal laws and regulations Assist with various projects as assigned by supervisor Other duties as assigned _Additional responsibilities may include a focus on one or more departments or locations._ _See applicable addendum for department or location-specific functions._ **PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:** The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
