Job Overview

Location: UMMC East Bank, Minneapolis MN

Hours: 80 hours bi-weekly

Schedule: day/evening, rotating weekends

 

This position will provide functional leadership and support for the pharmacy, under the direction of a pharmacist. Provide customer service. Assist in preparing and dispensing medications and supplies. Handle cash register transactions. Receive patient prescriptions. Unpack/verify stock-to-invoices and help maintain the pharmacy in proper order.

 

Job Expectations:

Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies as assigned.Assist customers with prescriptions and/or other productsAssist in maintenance of the pharmacy to reflect a clean and well-stocked condition on a daily basis.Handle cash register transactions accurately.Process prescription information in the computer systemAssist in inventory control functions

Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:

Experience

Six Months Pharmacy Technician Experience

License/Certification/Registration

Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)

Preferred:

 

Education

Graduate of a pharmacy technician program

Experience

Previous Pharmacy or Medical Experience

License/Certification/Registration

Registered as Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy.
