As a Production/Fill Technician, you will work on the production floor to fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently, playing a key role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.
ResponsibilitiesAssist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.Label and package medications for mail order distribution.Ensure that all prescriptions are filled correctly and meet quality standards.Monitor and maintain medication inventory levels.Order medications and supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock.Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with inventory audits.Input prescription data into the pharmacy information system.Assist with resolving issues related to delayed or incorrect orders.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to pharmacy practice.Maintain accurate and complete records of all prescription orders and transactions.Assist with maintaining the confidentiality and security of patient information.Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of pharmacy services.Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements.Report any medication errors or discrepancies to the supervising pharmacist.Assist pharmacists with administrative tasks as needed.Help maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area.Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsPharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) required.2+ years of experience in retail or mail order pharmacy.Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by state law.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and technology.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.Pharmacy Technician Board Certification is a plus.Work EnvironmentWork in a closed-door mail order pharmacy with a supportive and personable executive team. The company is rapidly growing, offering new roles and opportunities to make a significant impact. The position operates Monday to Friday, with a primary shift from 12:30 PM to 9 PM. Training will occur from 8 AM to 5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. Shift assignment is based on tenure, with potential for a first-shift position. Enjoy major holidays and weekends off, with paid holidays for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and New Year's Day.
