Pharmacy Technician
Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support a closed‑door specialty infusion pharmacy. This role focuses on patient coordination, medication/supply fulfillment, labeling, organization, and outbound shipping for infusion therapies. This pharmacy supports approximately 200 patients on census (and growing). All medications and supplies are pre‑packaged—no compounding is required. This is an excellent opportunity for a self‑starter who is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable communicating with patients and nurses. Focus Medications: IVIG, TPN, Specialty infusion therapies Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities • Arrive by 8:30 AM; participate in a 9:00 AM morning huddle to review daily workload and patient calls from the prior evening • Call patients that are 14 days prior to scheduled infusions • Confirm medications, supplies, and patient needs; administer a brief patient survey • Coordinate with nurses regarding infusion scheduling and delivery timelines • Label, organize, and stage medications and supplies into shipment bins • Ship medications Monday–Thursday (Fridays are typically catch‑up days; no shipping) • Maintain accurate documentation and organization of bins, queues, and shipments • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients over the phone • Ensure all shipments are prepared accurately and on time • Stay proactive and consistent—when work is managed efficiently, there is flexibility in the day   Key Responsibilities • Gather, label, organize, and ship pre‑packaged medications and infusion supplies • Perform outbound patient and nurse coordination calls • Maintain organized staging and shipping workflows • Ensure accuracy in labeling, documentation, and shipment preparation • Support mail‑order pharmacy operations and logistics • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and pharmacy regulations • Collaborate with pharmacists and nursing teams across the U.S. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • Reliability & professionalism — shows up on time and takes ownership of work • High school diploma or GED • Active Maryland Pharmacy Technician license (open to obtaining additional state licenses if needed) • Comfortable using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, basic systems) • Self-starter that is detail oriented with strong time management skills • Personable and professional on patient phone calls • Previous specialty or infusion pharmacy experience • Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or NPTA)
