USGP is currently seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team and provide high-quality services to active-duty service members, veterans, and their families at the Naval Branch Health Clinic in Mayport, Florida.

Position Highlights

Location: Naval Branch Health Clinic – Mayport, FLSchedule: Monday through Friday, between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM (rotating shifts)Pay: Competitive hourly rate of $18.94/hour + Health and Welfare stipendBenefits Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanPaid Time Off (PTO) and Sick Leave

Minimum Qualifications

Education:Graduate from a pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)OR completion of a formal military or technical-based pharmacy training programCertifications:Active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certificationCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or an equivalent military programExperience:Minimum of 12 months of recent experience (within the last 36 months) as a Pharmacy Technician

Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):

Hepatitis B (series and titer)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)Varicella (Chickenpox)TB (Tuberculosis) testSeasonal Influenza vaccineCOVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)

Responsibilities

Accurately fill and dispense outpatient prescriptions, refill medications, and input orders into pharmacy databasesSupport patient and provider inquiries regarding prescriptions, drug interactions, refill status, and medication availabilityMonitor and report adverse drug reactions and ensure proper medication use and documentationPerform quality assurance tasks such as inventory checks, expiration reviews, and medication storage inspectionsRestock and maintain inventory of pharmacy supplies and medicationsEducate patients about medication usage, potential side effects, and safety protocolsRespond to phone inquiries from patients and staff regarding pharmacy-related issuesMaintain a clean and compliant work area according to established safety and regulatory standardsDocument all patient-related information, treatment recommendations, and medication counseling accurately and within a 72-hour timeframeParticipate in departmental training and onboarding activities to ensure familiarity with pharmacy procedures and policies
