Our Mississauga Pharmacy Location is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant that provides meaningful support at the right time to our members for better health and peace of mind. In this role, you will be on a team of like-minded, energetic, and motivated people primarily responsible for managing patient profiles and processing prescriptions. That includes a data entry component where you will be creating and maintaining accurate patient medication profiles, entering new prescriptions, and liaising with patients to ensure their medication needs are being met. It also includes a reimbursement component where you will be processing and adjudicating prescriptions and solving any related issues. In addition to helping Canadian’s live healthier lives, we offer a competitive salary and total rewards package, along with a positive work environment built on solid corporate values: integrity, mutual respect, collaboration and passion for healthcare. **Key Responsibilities** + Gather information to create and maintain patient medication profiles + Accurately enter prescription related information into the pharmacy software + Manage updates to patient medication profiles in the pharmacy software + Investigate and solve data entry related escalations + Accurately process and adjudicate prescriptions through Kroll + Problem solve adjudication related issues + Collaborate with other pharmacy team members to adjust and review drug scheduling to ensure timing of medication dispensing support continuation of therapies + Provide exceptional customer service over the phone and through other communication channels + Address billing and invoicing issues in a timely manner + Support inventory control and management + Escalate complex situations as necessary **What We’re Looking For:** + 1 year of pharmacy-related experience in a Kroll-pharmacy based setting + Working knowledge of processing and adjudicating prescriptions + Proficient in Kroll software + Computer literate, possessing intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) + CRM experience is preferable but not required + Attention to detail + Knowledge of pharmaceutical math + Excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills + Team player with the ability to work independently + Strong work ethic and positive attitude is a must + Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervision + Flexible to situations and adaptable to change + Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to shift priorities working within established timelines + Demonstrates initiative (learn processes and procedures, various benefits) and displays self-motivation to grasp new concepts quickly + Results-oriented paying attention to detail + Ability to multi-task **Why Join Us** + Competitive compensation, benefits and pension plan + Career development and advancement opportunities + A culture that celebrates innovation and collaboration + Flexible work options and wellness programs **AI Disclosure** If AI or automated tools are used in screening or assessment, include: 'This posting uses AI-assisted tools as part of the screening process.' **Pre-Employment Requirements** All offers of employment are conditional upon the successful completion of **reference checks and background verification** in accordance with company policy **.
