Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy 340B Inventory Planner at Norfolk General Hospital

Location: Norfolk General Hospital

Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)

Shift: Days

Hours: 8am-430pm

Weekends: Will require 2-3 hours on Sunday to place order (done remote)

Performs the inventory management responsibilities for the pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Demonstrates advanced specialized skills and ownership for all pharmacy buyer functions and obtains advanced training and/or certification in their area of practice.

Demonstrates advanced technical skills and ownership of the work areaDemonstrates the ability to competently work independentlyAssumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasksParticipates in the training of new employeesProvides peer coaching and constructive feedback to other colleagues in a professional and productive mannerFills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitionerEnsures adequate supplies and medications are available for continuous patient careTriages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed.Uses appropriate systems for processing patient and financial informationEnsures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirementsOperates pharmacy equipment appropriatelyTraining in advanced Pharmacy Inventory job functions In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification/Licensure

Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)

CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Required)

Experience

2 Years Pharmacy Experience (Required)
