Pharmacist (Narcotics Room)

The Pharmacist will primarily handle the dispensing of narcotics for a closed door, long-term care pharmacy. A candidate for this role must be actively Registered/Licensed as a Pharmacist and have experience working with narcotics.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for the safe and compliant management of controlled substances, within a long-term care environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee controlled substances, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriate dosing, potential interactions, and proper administration.Recommend therapy adjustments to physicians and facility staff when necessary.Maintain and update patient records, including medical history, lab data, and clinical notes.Address and resolve medication-related inquiries from healthcare providers.Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other care team members regarding drug-related concerns.Supervise the preparation and dispensing of medications.Maintain accurate controlled drug registers and ensure proper storage and security of medications.

Qualifications

Must be actively Registered/LicensedPrior experience handling narcotics is also required.Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $133000.00/yr.

PTO, 2.31hrs/wk, 3 weeks total in the year.Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, 1%-0.25% match, 2%-0.50% match, 3%-0.75% match, 4%-1.00% match. Cap at 1.00%.
