Job Description

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying prescriptions to ensure data quality and accuracy. You will check both incoming and outgoing prescriptions to confirm that the medication, dosage, strength, directions, quantity, and patient information are correct. This role also involves handling calls from healthcare providers and educating patients and their families about medications over the phone.

Responsibilities

Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.Conduct clinical and drug utilization reviews to ensure quality and safety.Handle inbound and outbound calls from healthcare providers and pharmacies.Educate patients and families on medication usage and safety over the phone.

Work Environment

The work environment is a closed-door pharmacy with operating hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:40 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The role requires standing and moving around for 8-hour shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Myers, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
