We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our Utilization Management team. In this role, you will apply your clinical expertise to complete a variety of utilization review functions, including prior authorizations, coverage exceptions, quantity limit exceptions, and more. You will work independently while collaborating closely with a team of pharmacists and pharmacy professionals.

Quality and performance are tracked through monthly productivity and accuracy goals.

ResponsibilitiesPerform clinical utilization management reviews (PAs, CEs, QLs, etc.)Make independent, clinically sound decisions based on established guidelinesWork efficiently to meet quality and productivity benchmarksNavigate multiple systems and tools to complete case documentationCollaborate with pharmacy team members as needed for clarification or escalationsMaintain compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirementsRequired SkillsPharmacistRetail Pharmacy ExperienceClinical KnowledgePrior Authorization / Coverage ReviewPharmacy Benefit ManagementCompounding experience a plusQualificationsDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent2+ years of retail pharmacy experience (CVS, Walgreens, etc. highly preferred)Active pharmacist license in good standing with the applicable State Board of PharmacyMust provide license numberAny disciplinary history must be disclosed during the screening processMust-HavesStrong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignmentsResults-driven mindsetSelf-motivated and able to work independently without frequent directionConfident in making clinical decisions autonomouslyAdaptability and resourcefulness in changing environmentsTechnology RequirementsComfort learning new systems and basic IT troubleshootingProficiency in Word and ExcelAbility to type 35+ WPMAbility to work across multiple monitorsJob Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Eagan, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
