We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medication orders, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining an organized pharmacy environment. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our patients and promoting a positive work environment.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and dispense medication orders by interpreting physician orders, completing drug utilization reviews, and checking technician data entry.Ensure medications are labeled and packaged in accordance with the law to prevent dispensing adulterated and misbranded medications.Organize and direct technicians’ workflow, verify order entries, and improve workflow functions.Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by relevant authorities and maintain records for all prescriptions.Assist with inventory control, including removing outdated medications and managing recalls.Maintain pharmacological knowledge through educational workshops and professional publications.De-escalate customer service concerns and escalate unresolved issues to higher management.Treat all patients and employees with dignity and respect, using proper pronouns and preferred names.Promote a positive work environment free of judgment, bullying, and negative attitudes.Advise pharmacy personnel and health center providers on dosing, therapeutic incompatibilities, and evidence-based interventions.Develop health center staff’s pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.Meet deadlines set by directors and other management.Complete any other tasks and duties as assigned by management.Essential SkillsProficiency with electronic health recordsExperience in pharmacy and ambulatory careFamiliarity with ScriptPro and closed-door pharmacy operationsCommunity health experienceMissouri Pharmacist LicenseAt least 1 year of pharmacy experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with HIV care is advantageousProficiency with ECWExperience in ambulatory careCPR and BLS certificationWork Environment

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:45 am to 5:30 pm. The work involves managing a closed-door pharmacy with technicians on-site. The initial contract is for 3 months, with the possibility of extension or permanent hire. The pharmacy handles a high volume of 200-300 complex cases daily, focusing on serving underserved and underprivileged communities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $61.00/hr.
