**Job Overview** Provides pharmacy services to the patient, physician and hospital staff. Assures the timely and accurate filling of prescriptions and orders. Provides information and/or consultation to the patient and other health care professionals in the correct use of those medications and supplies. **Essential Functions** Analytical Thinking: + Ability to identify issues, obtain relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources, and identify alternative solutions. Data Management: + Ability to analyze data to interpret and evaluate results, and create reports and/or presentations. Knowledge of appropriate data collection policy and procedures, filing systems, data management systems and programs. Interpersonal Communication: + Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co- workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection. Patient Education: + Provides patient educational information appropriate to the developmental level, learning needs, readiness, cultural values, and beliefs of patients and families. Patient Safety: + Demonstrates practices that support safety with recognition of variations in populations served, preventing harm to patients, families, employees, and themselves.
