Job Overview

The De Novo Personal Banker SAFE Act is responsible for proactively acquiring, expanding and retaining relationships, growing their book of business and ensuring a world-class customer experience for all current and prospective clients. The overall objective of this role is to support business growth in a newly opened Branch, connect with the local community and foster relationships with clients through in person, phone, and video engagement to build client satisfaction and loyalty, increase sales, deepen relationships and drive increased engagement with Citi products and services. This role is responsible for the execution of sales and service activities in coordination with key internal partners. 


Responsibilities:

Grow your assigned book of business by leveraging inbound and outbound interactions with new and existing clients to share the Citi value proposition, uncover stated and unstated client needs and transform service transactions into sales/referral opportunitiesDeepen existing client relationships by investing time getting to know your clients, transforming these learnings into meaningful recommendations, and staying connected beyond the point of sale while delivering remarkable client experienceRepresent Citibank as a brand ambassador, an expert on Citi’s products and their benefits and an educator on digital innovationsLeverage phone, e-mail, and video channels to perform regular customer outreach including outbound sales, follow ups on pending recommendations and services, and proactive check-ins; maximize the effectiveness of these calls through appropriate planning and prioritizationCultivate relationships with partners, including Small Business, Home Lending and Personal Wealth Management, enabling you to fulfill or provide appropriate referrals to meet client needsInvest in personal development and provide peer mentoring as appropriate within the teamDigitally savvy; comfortable adopting new technologies, explaining digital tools to clients, and interacting with clients across multiple channels (both in-person and virtual)Work with business credit requests less than $250K, recognize/refer larger lending opportunities and cross sell treasury and related small business productsBuild referral business opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the Member Get Member (MGM) ProgramProvide Tellers and other branch staff with coaching and guidance on products and special programs, identifying client needs, and providing appropriate referralsRecognize transaction needs of clients, educate clients on all service and digital channels and leverage technology/ marketing tools available to uncover opportunities, and present product offers/financial solutionsUnderstand and comply with Citibank policies, standards and proceduresDrive client satisfaction through delivery of exceptional client experience, acquire new relationships and deepen existing relationships through the presentation of relevant products and servicesUnderstand and comply with Citibank policies, standards and procedures to ensure the security of the banks and clients’ assetsThis position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry ("Registry") and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before referring interested clients to Citibank for their mortgage needs, to maintain and renew that registration on an annual basis, to update registration information with the Registry on a timely basis, and to provide that unique identifier to consumers as required by applicable SAFE Act regulations and Citi policies and procedures.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

2-4 Years of relevant experience; banking/finance, retail, or sales experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferredConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and identify and execute on opportunities for growthExcellent attention to detailStrong integrity and professionalismProficient computer skills and banking technology skillsNMLS registration; Safe Act compliant

Good Faith Schedule- subject to change based on business needs:

Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Monday to Wednesday 8:30am-5:30pm, Thursday 12:00 am-3:00pm, Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, Saturday 9:30am-2:30pm

This is a rotating Saturday schedule. The schedule is subjected to change.
