**Job Title: Permit Engineer / Operative**
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Permit Engineer / Operative to join the team located at Heathrow.
The main purpose of the role is to effectively work with the Site Permit Team responsible for the control and coordination of safe systems of work for contractors at site to ensure legal and contractual obligations for CBRE, our Client team and other Key Stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for the control of safe systems of work throughout the Operations Base site.
+ Point of contact for Permit to work (PTW) / Authority to work (ATW) management.
+ Ensure a successful shift handover of all open PTWs.
+ Ensure all contractual procedures are followed by Specialist Subcontractors.
+ Monitoring of Specialist Subcontractors works whilst they are on site undertaking works to ensure adherence with approved RAMS.
+ Closely monitor the daily event calendar ensuring that PTW/ATW does not impact on the daily operation of site.
+ Ensure that Specialist Subcontractors Method Statements and Risk Assessments are followed/prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
+ Support H&S Audits by internal and external customers, ensuring that the pre audit inspection is carried out.
+ Liaison with Client representatives, CBRE Engineering Teams, and other Key Stakeholders.
+ Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff, subcontractors and the client representatives and associated groups.
+ Carry out any other duties deemed reasonable by line manager
+ Ensure a professional image of the company is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
**Accountabilities**
+ Accountable to the Permit Manager & Account Manager
+ The post holder does not have any directly reporting staff
+ This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility
**Skills and qualifications**
+ Good understanding of Mechanical or Electrical services maintenance.
+ Health and Safety qualification (desirable).
+ Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
+ Experience of Customer facing roles.
+ Positive and proactive approach.
+ Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders.
+ Able to challenge the status quo and suggest new ways of doing things to improve performance and practices.
+ Strong organisation and communication ability.
+ To be an integral part of the team.
