**Job Title:** Permit Coordinator
**Location:** Edmonton or Calgary, AB
**Shift:** In-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; WFH Wednesday and Friday
Our client is seeking a Permit Coordinator to join their team. As a Permit Coordinator, you will be part of the department supporting project management, coordination, and operational activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, proactive problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Description:**
+ Coordinate, monitor, and analyze permit and non-technical risk items across various project scopes including Operations, Core Programs, and Major Projects.
+ Act as a business partner to support groups, connecting stakeholders with project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
+ Manage permit requests, log risks, and communicate updates to relevant teams to mitigate potential delays.
+ Monitor project schedules, identify risks, and ensure key permit milestones are achieved within designated outage windows.
+ Provide quality assurance on permit schedules and ensure stakeholders update timelines accurately in project control systems.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, Sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, coordination, construction, or project controls, with a solid understanding of municipal, provincial, federal permits, and their impact on project scope and schedule.
+ Experience in industrial projects involving interfaces across engineering, procurement, contracting, and construction phases.
+ Strong grasp of construction activities, interdependencies, labor, and equipment management.
+ Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
