Minimum requirement is 48 hours in 6 week schedule

Saturday shift 7a-3p (as needed)

No Holidays/No Call

Staggered shifts: 0700-1500 0900-1700 1200-2000 or 1500-2300

Pay Range

$20.80 - $31.20

1 year previous patient care experience in a hospital setting

Major Responsibilities:

Provide assistance with supportive clinical tasks as defined by policy and procedure as directed by licensed RN staff & SurgeonsParticipates in the preparation of the Operating rooms/CaseParticipates in maintenance of the Surgery DepartmentEnsures the Surgery area is appropriately stocked and supplied to meet the needs of the patient and Nursing StaffAssists with direct patient care under the direction of the Nursing staffResponsibility of professional growth, self-development and objective


Education/Experience Required:

High School education 6 months – 1 year previous patient care experience in a hospital setting


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Ability to use computer keyboard Knowledge of medical terminologyCPR


Physicial Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to rotate shifts to provide coverage Exposure to various contagious disease, radiation, chemical, caustic materials, electrical equipment and hazards associated with their use Ability to perform heavy lifting in accordance with DOL definition, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods and reaching overhead. Ability to handle multiple requests for assistance and to work in a fast paced stressful environmentIf position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
