The Opportunity:
As a People Manager, you will oversee HR operations in Alice Springs, ensuring compliance with local labour laws while fostering a positive and engaging work environment. You will drive the development and implementation of HR programs and policies that support business objectives and enhance employee satisfaction. You will champion a workplace culture that reflects KBR’s values of integrity, safety, teamwork, and excellence. Approaching challenges proactively, you continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and deliver better outcomes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
Develop, implement, and administer human resources programs, policies, processes, and procedures that attract, retain, and reward employees globally, in alignment with overall business strategyManage the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team membersParticipate in the development of functional strategy and oversee global processes and procedures as requiredDevelop, revise, and enforce company policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsMaintain confidential employee records and ensure data accuracy.Foster a positive work culture and promote employee engagementProvide guidance to managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actionsRequired Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Must be an Australian Citizen and able to hold an Australian Government Security ClearanceBachelor’s degree in HR management, Business Administration or equivalentExtensive experience in human resources supervisory or managerial rolesStrong understanding of HR practices and principlesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challengesHigh level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to KBR's values of safety, integrity, teamwork and excellenceExperience working in a multicultural environment, with sensitivity to diverse cultural backgroundsProficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with employment bargaining agreementsKnowledge of Australian local labour lawsBenefits of KBR
