Pension/401(k) Operations, Vice President

Our US-based Retirement Operations team in Human Resources is responsible for Pension Administration and oversight of 401(k) administration for three dozen qualified plans and over 300K participants.

As a Pension/401(k) Operations, Vice President within our team, you will manage, lead and execute key processes and work on challenging projects with peers in our team-based organization across several locations. We are looking for a leader with experience in Pension Plan and 401(k) Administration, a strong process and controls-focus, and who understands the importance of delivering for our customers.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and execute pension and/or 401(k) administration processes and controls while prioritizing customer experience and meeting service level agreementsOversee and execute activities in pension and 401(k) that may include participant eligibility, data movement & reporting, calculations and payroll, troubleshooting issues, researching and responding to participant cases and escalationsLead and support continuous improvement and automation in our processes, while keeping the participant at the center of all we doLead, coach, train and support a small team of direct reports as a working leaderEffectively contribute to and/or drive team projects and/or provide coverage to teammates and team members and support to the larger Retirement Operations teamDrive accuracy, quality and timeliness of the work while meeting plan requirements, regulations and control standardsDevelop and maintain procedures and training documentationLead and coordinate year-end activities including bulk participant communicationsLead and coordinate Retirement Operations team response to internal and external audits of retirement plans

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Has strong technical knowledge Retirement Administration, with 5+ years’ experienceIs end-to-end process-oriented, looking to improve outcomes and experiencePossesses controls mindset, with superior attention to quality and detailUses solid judgment and analytical skill to assess situations and determine best course of actionSeeks to improve and document processes, drive data quality, prevent issues and communicates across the team for awareness and understandingHas strong prioritization and organizing skills, effectively managing work through peak volume periodsPossesses strong people and team leadership, coaching and communications skills, both written and verbalHas very strong data and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (and other systems in a Retirement Operations setting)
