**Now Hiring Pellet Mill Operator in East Berlin, PA!** First Shift Opportunity! Pay: $20-22/hr based on experience **Job Description** This position involves operating the pellet mill during the first shift, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Prior experience in machine operation within a manufacturing environment is required. Experience with material handling using sit-down or stand-up forklifts is a plus, as it involves moving skids. **Responsibilities** + Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the pellet mill and associated machines. + Monitor required ingredients to produce top-quality pellets. + Perform quality checks to ensure pellets meet standards. + Operate bagging, sealing, stacking, and wrapping equipment. + Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and participate in SOP modification to improve productivity and quality. + Operate heavy equipment such as wheeled loaders and fork trucks. + Wear hearing, eye, breathing, and hand protection as required. **Essential Skills** + Machine operation experience. + Forklift operation (sit-down or stand-up). + Material handling expertise. + Heavy equipment operation, specifically front loader experience. + Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. + Quality checking and troubleshooting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work on your feet throughout the shift. + Capability to lift and carry 40 lb bags throughout the shift. + Ability to stack bags at different heights on skids. + Ability to climb ladders. **Why Work Here?** Employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits program after a 90-day waiting period, which includes medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits.
