MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) is a vital member of the Behavioral Health & Addiction Resource Team (BART). This role provides non-clinical, peer-based recovery support to individuals with substance use disorders (SUD), using lived experience to foster hope, model recovery and guide individuals through their unique recovery journey. The PRC works collaboratively with the Substance Use Navigator, clinical team, community partners and families to reduce barriers to treatment and promote long-term recovery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma Minimum 3 years working with individuals with SUD or behavioral health needs.Bilingual preferred.Comfortable working within a hospital system.Certification/ Licensure:
Certified Peer Recovery Specialists CPRS required.Welle certification and Alice training within 60 days of hire.Physical Requirements
