Compensation: $231,000 – $300,000 annually (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Mondays to Fridays 8-5 PM or 4 day (10 hour shift available).
Location: Greater Sacramento area, CA (Multiple locations available)
We are seeking a full-time Pediatrician to provide comprehensive primary care services to children and adolescents (birth through age 19) in a community health center setting. This role offers the opportunity to serve a diverse, underserved population while working within a collaborative, mission-driven team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits, acute care, and chronic disease management Perform thorough histories and physical exams, develop differential diagnoses, and implement treatment plans Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics Prescribe medications and manage age-appropriate therapies Provide developmental, behavioral, and preventive care services Deliver culturally competent patient and family education Coordinate specialty referrals and consultations as needed Maintain productivity standards while delivering high-quality care Review and respond to clinical messages, labs, and reports in a timely manner Complete accurate, timely documentation and billing in the electronic health record Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical educationQualifications
MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school (or FMG with ECFMG certification) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics Must have 2+ years of post residency experience; no new grads. Experience managing pediatric preventive care, acute and chronic conditions, and developmental/behavioral concerns Familiarity with clinical quality measures (HRSA core measures, HEDIS, PCMH) preferred Active, unrestricted California medical license Community health center or FQHC experience preferred Bilingual skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferredBenefits
