Payroll Tax Admin (Urgent Hire)
Job Title: Payroll Tax AdminJob Description The Payroll Tax Admin will monitor, reconcile, and manage overall tax compliance in a multi-state and multi-entity environment on a pay period basis. This role requires expertise in tax filings, reporting, and reconciliation of payroll taxes with third-party tax vendors and applicable agencies. You will lead Quarter End and Year End tax reporting processes, including the preparation of W-2s. You will be responsible for reconciling payroll and tax accounts to multiple general ledgers, collaborating extensively with various Finance teams. Responsibilities + Reconcile payroll after each pay period. + Manage all statutory tax correspondence. + Review and monitor tax filings along with associated notices. + Collaborate with Finance on changes affecting payroll tax accruals and resolving related issues. + Collaborate with Payroll Analyst on creation and maintenance of tax-related reporting within payroll software. + Creation and maintenance of specialized tax reports and forms within third-party tax vendor software. + Reconcile payroll taxes, cash activity, and third-party tax vendor reports. + Collaborate with Finance in the preparation of payroll and payroll tax-related journal entries. + Review and approve final tax filings, including 941s and W-2s. + Lead all special projects and research related to payroll tax compliance. + Manage relationship with third-party tax vendor. + Manage payroll tax exceptions and issues with Payroll Managers and third-party tax vendor. + Gather and report requested payroll-related data to internal and external customers. Essential Skills + 3-4 years of experience with payroll, payroll tax filings, and compliance matters. + Strong accounting skills and detail-oriented. + Proficient in Microsoft Excel. + Ability to create and reconcile spreadsheets for payroll and tax-related data. + Experience reconciling and preparing periodic tax forms. + Effective communication skills with management, peers, and co-workers. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Workday experience is a plus. + ADP experience is a plus. + FPC or CPP designation preferred. Work Environment This hybrid position requires you to be in the office 3-5 days a week. The role offers a 6-month contract with the potential to extend, providing opportunities for advancement or long-term career options in multiple industries including sports entertainment and food services. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
