Job Title: Payroll Systems Analyst
Job Description

The role involves managing a high volume of manual payments and research. The primary focus is on issuing payments for terminations and processing various transactions. The position requires handling daily terminations, approximately 24 per person, and ensuring accurate payroll cycles in compliance with laws and regulations.

ResponsibilitiesCalculate and process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll cycles accurately to ensure timely payment to employees.Review payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, verifying all amounts and balances for accuracy.Perform validations and reconciliations of Oracle payroll processing steps, functions, and reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.Collaborate with Human Resources, vendors, and associates to determine strategic needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement initiatives.Provide ongoing payroll-related systems support to employees and Oracle Cloud Payroll users across 200+ facilities.Deliver technical, analytical, system development, and maintenance support for Oracle Cloud system, including configuration workbooks and Stock Option plans.Support IT department with system upgrades/migrations by conducting user acceptance testing, regression testing, and payroll parallels.Manage data conversion for acquisitions and divestitures, employee master file conversions, and payroll history conversions.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax statutes, payday laws, and Department of Labor regulations.Act as liaison with IT/Internal Audit, Accounting, and other departments regarding SOX compliance issues.Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide resolution, including after-hours outage response as needed.Assist in training payroll users on new system changes and updates.Exercise discretion and independent judgment in performing duties.Develop adhoc financial and operational reporting as required.Understand absence plans and manage other duties and special projects as needed.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years' experience in Payroll/HR with hands-on HRIS experience and multi-state processing.Detailed understanding and experience with Oracle Cloud Payroll processes.Experience with Vertex, ADP systems, and Kronos Time and Attendance.Working knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to employee compensation, payroll, and benefits.Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving techniques.Understanding of tax regulations and applications.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in the healthcare industry is beneficial but not required.Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with care.Work Environment

The position is part of a team of six analysts supporting the hospital systems. The work environment involves collaboration and requires multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
