Responsibilities
The Payroll Supervisor will oversee the Powerback payroll function, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely compensation for all employees. The Payroll Supervisor will directly supervise Payroll Bookkeepers and provide functional guidance to staff members who split time between Accounts Payable and Payroll.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assists the Manager, Business Office Systems in the development of company policy and procedures relating to Payroll.
Processes payroll timely in accordance with established standards and processes.
Reviews payroll correction submissions and reclasses daily.
Ensures appropriate department directors maintain schedules and reconcile timecards for their assigned employees timely.
Responds promptly to all employee questions related to pay and directs employees to appropriate resources in response to needs and/or requests.
Assists the Manager, Business Office Systems with problems and issues relating to the above functions.
Maintains confidentiality with respect to all employee information including but not limited to salary rates and compensation.
Maintains flexibility with work hours as needed in order to stay connected and meet with employees who work outside of standard office hours.
Performs final audits of payroll to ensure 100% accuracy.
Hires, trains, and supervises payroll team members as needed.
Monitors and reviews corporate practices for compliance with corporate standards, policies and procedures. Prepares conclusions and recommendations of findings for improvement in efficiency and compliance.
Assists in payroll training of the payroll team members.
Handles special projects and other duties as requested by the Manager, Business Office Systems and by senior management.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
An Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting, a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
3-5 years of managerial experience in payroll or 5–7+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or "Lead" capacity.
Posted Salary Range
USD $55,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
