Payroll Supervisor
Job Description Job Description Insight Global is searching for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join a municipal organization on a 18 month full-time term position with a high likelihood of conversion. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day‑to‑day payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely pay while maintaining full compliance with legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies. They will oversee bi‑weekly payroll processing, maintain well‑organized records, and support financial reconciliation requirements such as T‑slips, EI rebates, and WCB assessments. The position also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies, supporting system upgrades like PeopleSoft and JDE, and collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen procedures and system performance. This role is onsite in Lethbridge, Alberta working 40 hours per week. Skills and Requirements Required Skills and Experience  • Completion of the National Payroll Institute designation – Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP).  • Completion of a minimum two year Business diploma in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.  • 4 years of payroll processing experience in medium-to-large sized organization(s).  • Expert excel skills.  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of PeopleSoft Payroll and JDE functionality.  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll systems.  • Expert analytical and troubleshooting skills.  • Previous Experience working in a municipality or any equivalent environment.
