A well-established, full-service restoration and construction company is seeking an experienced Temporary Payroll Specialist to provide immediate, on-site payroll support during a critical leave coverage period. This role is essential to stabilizing payroll operations, resolving backlog items, and ensuring accurate processing in a fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payroll through Paychex, ensuring accurate hours, wages, deductions, and complianceMaintain employee records in Paychex, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate adjustmentsReview payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to submissionManage payroll tax filings, garnishments, and benefit deductions in accordance with regulationsCoordinate direct deposits, payroll checks, and year-end forms (W-2s, 1099s) through PaychexRespond to employee payroll inquiries regarding pay, withholdings, and deductionsSupport leadership and external CPA partners with payroll documentation and reporting needsRequired Background1–3+ years of payroll processing experience in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with payroll platforms such as Paychex (preferred), ADP, UKG, or PaycomStrong understanding of payroll laws, tax withholdings, and wage/hour complianceHigh attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive employee data accuratelyExperience reconciling timekeeping systems and meeting strict payroll deadlinesStrong Microsoft Excel skills for payroll audits and reportingExcellent communication skills and ability to provide immediate coverage during transitionsPreferred QualificationsExperience in construction, restoration, or job-cost environmentsExposure to accounting software transitions or system implementationsAbility to step into a transitional role quickly and add value immediatelyCompensation & BenefitsHourly pay range of $30–$40/hour, based on experienceBenefits may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement optionsPotential for full-time hire following contract completionOpportunity to gain hands-on experience with a stable, growing organizationYour Career PartnerThe Reserves Network (TRN) connects skilled Accounting, Finance, and Administrative professionals with top employers nationwide.
