Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to ensure the accurate processing of payroll across various schedules, including weekly and bi-weekly cycles. This role involves resolving payroll discrepancies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and preparing and submitting payroll reports, including tax filings. The position also requires maintaining employee records and handling benefits administration.

Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately for different schedules.Resolve payroll discrepancies and errors promptly.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.Prepare and submit payroll reports and tax filings.Maintain employee records and administer benefits.

Essential Skills

Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software, including ADP.Excellent numerical and analytical skills.Familiarity with HR practices and labor laws.3-5 years of experience in high volume payroll processing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Multi-State payroll processing is a plus.Experience in the Construction or Government Contracting industry is preferred.

Work Environment

The role will be fully in-office for the first three months, transitioning to a hybrid model with two days on-site and three days remote, with reasonable flexibility. You will be part of a team of 5 to 6 within HR, including two other payroll specialists, and report to the Payroll Manager. The work will be conducted in an office environment with cubicles. There are growth opportunities, with potential to advance to a Payroll Manager position.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
