Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist responsible for accurate payroll processing and garnishment management. This role involves ensuring timely and precise payroll cycles and maintaining confidentiality of employee records. You will collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies and assist with compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

Review and validate employee timecards and attendance records for accuracy.Enter and verify payroll data in the payroll system.Process bi-weekly or weekly payroll cycles, including adjustments for overtime, deductions, and benefits.Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax withholdings.Assist with payroll audits and compliance reporting.Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies.Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed.Receive and review incoming garnishment orders from various programs and agencies.Accurately enter garnishment details into payroll systems and ensure timely deductions.Coordinate payment processing and distribution to appropriate agencies or parties.Maintain detailed records of garnishment transactions and ensure confidentiality.Serve as the primary point of contact for garnishment inquiries from internal teams and external agencies.Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding wage garnishments.Utilize tools such as ExpertPay for processing and reporting.

Essential Skills

3+ years of experience supporting payroll processing or garnishment processes for an employee population of 500–1,000.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.Experience with basic sorting and filtering functions within Microsoft Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business or accounting preferred.Experience with payroll systems like ADP.

Work Environment

This role operates onsite five days per week, Monday through Thursday, as part of a 13-member Payroll team. The work environment includes a state-of-the-art facility in Blue Bell, PA, featuring a gym and lunchroom which you will have full access to. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Bell, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
