📝 About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources team. You’ll be responsible for processing payroll for 260 employees (including exempt, non-exempt, and contingent staff), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across weekly and monthly cycles.
🔧 Key ResponsibilitiesProcess hourly and salaried payrollsManage new hires, employee changes, and voluntary deductionsHandle manual checks, discrepancies, and stop paymentsReview and correct computed wagesEnsure compliance with wage and hour lawsPrepare payroll reports, journal entries, and reconcile in MRTA systemSupport bonus calculations and benefits-related deductions
💡 Skills & ToolsPayroll processing, data entry, reconciliationMicrosoft Office & ExcelADP, UKG Pro, MRTAJournal entry preparationBilingual (Spanish) a plusFamiliarity with FLMA, garnishments, and benefits administration
