Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on payroll experience, especially in union environments, and a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Collect and verify employee hours for 40–60 staff members.Enter payroll data into Foundation software for processing by a third-party provider.Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely submissions.Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions (especially for full-time candidates).Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).

Essential Skills

Prior payroll experience is required.Union payroll experience is a strong plus.Moderate to advanced Excel skills are necessary.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with Foundation software is preferred.Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable is beneficial, especially for full-time consideration.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with flexibility for a 7:30 or 8:00 AM start time. The role offers an onsite work environment with a potential hybrid option.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
