Job Title: Payroll Specialist Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including handling employee payroll tasks, leave of absence payments, and partner payroll and tax returns.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with the Payroll team to manage semi-monthly payroll tasks related to employee payroll.
+ Work with the Leave of Absence team to process LOA payments efficiently.
+ Assist in processing Partner’s monthly payroll and quarterly tax returns as needed.
+ Recommend or participate in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations.
+ Assist with the coordination of approved changes within the payroll processing system.
+ Review, analyze, and verify payroll reports and documents for accuracy; make necessary adjustments to employee’s pay as needed.
+ Manage the centralized mailbox for payroll questions, ensuring clear and understandable responses to inquiries within the firm.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
+ Minimum of 1 year of payroll experience.
+ Proficient knowledge of payroll best practices and state and federal tax regulations as they relate to payroll.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with all levels within the firm.
+ Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
+ Experience with Kronos and payroll tax management.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint) required.
+ Experience with Ultimate Software is desired.
+ Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
