Job Description
This role requires an understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations, along with exceptional organizational and time management skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll for employees.
ResponsibilitiesAccurately process multi-state and union weekly payrolls.Handle off-cycle payrolls and payroll adjustments as needed.Process payroll for new hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments.Calculate and distribute bonuses, commissions, and other special payments.Track and deduct garnishments, tax levies, and other special payroll deductions.Assist with reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.Conduct regular account reconciliations to assure accuracy of records.Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities in a timely manner.Elevate more complex issues for resolution.Essential Skills3-5 years of payroll or accounting experience.Multi-state payroll experience required.Proficiency with payroll software such as Coins, ADP, UKG, or In-House processing software.Understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and wage and hour laws.Prior experience with processing Union payrolls and Prevailing Wage and Certified payroll reports is a plus.Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.Experience with general ledger, reconciliation, payroll accounting, payroll tax, and reporting.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
