**Payroll Specialist** Frederick, MD This is a FT Direct Hire Pays $30-$35/hr. Join our client’s team that values precision, professionalism, and growth! We’re seeking a **Payroll Specialist** to manage and process our client’s bi-weekly payroll and provide vital support to their accounting operations. **What you’ll do:** + Process and reconcile bi-weekly payroll for all employees with accuracy and confidentiality + Ensure all payroll transactions (new hires, terminations, updates) are completed on time + Calculate wages, commissions, bonuses, and deductions + Handle garnishments and 401k loans + Use Paylocity to monitor federal, state, and local payroll filings + Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and sales/use tax filings (MD, PA, VA, WV) + Assist with audits as needed **Well qualified candidates will bring:** + 3–5 years of payroll processing experience + **Experience with Paylocity** highly preferred + Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards + Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze financial data + Strong communication and time-management skills **Compensation & Schedule:** + **Pay:** $30.00 – $35.00 per hour + **Hours:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (occasional overtime) **Comprehensive Benefits Package:** + Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance + Paid Time Off + 401(k) with financial planning assistance + Life Insurance & Short-Term Disability + Flexible Spending Account + Employee Discounts + Professional Development Support + Opportunities for Career Advancement **Apply today** to learn more about this local opportunity to join our client’s dynamic team!
