**Payroll / Data Entry Specialist**
**Pay:** $23–$25/hour
**Schedule:** Full-time, 40 hours/week
**Hours:** Core hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
**Duration:** Six Months
**Location:** Fully Remote
**Work Authorization:** US Citizen required
We are seeking a detail-oriented **Payroll / Data Entry Specialist** to support payroll operations in a fast-paced, automated, multi-state environment. This role focuses on accurate data entry, payroll processing support, auditing, and responding to internal payroll-related inquiries.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Timely and accurate entry of payroll data, including time and attendance, mileage, PTO, reimbursements, and telephony-based data
+ Ensure correct use of pay codes, pay rates, and compliance with wage and hour guidelines
+ Support payroll processing in a multi-state environment
+ Audit payroll entries completed by other staff for accuracy and compliance
+ Assist internal employees with payroll-related questions, including taxes and system access
+ Support Workforce Now tasks such as pulling W-2s and resetting passwords
+ Process data from eTime to ADP and run payroll history and audit reports
+ Assist with workers’ compensation, unemployment, and DOL audits
+ Support year-end payroll activities, including 401(k) catch-up processing
+ Collaborate closely with the payroll team to meet deadlines
**Required Experience**
+ Payroll data entry experience in a multi-state payroll environment
+ Experience working with **USD and CAD currencies**
+ **ADP Workforce Now** experience
+ Experience using **Empower (401k platform)**
+ Knowledge of state payroll taxes, including unemployment
+ Year-end payroll processing experience
+ eTime experience
+ Auditing experience (workers’ comp, DOL, unemployment)
+ Strong customer service mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
**Nice to Have**
+ Experience with **D365** (not required)
