Payroll Lead
Job Title: Payroll LeadJob Description

The Payroll Lead will be responsible for obtaining and entering accurate and timely HR information and payroll data into the payroll system. This role involves analyzing and inputting timecard data to ensure payroll accuracy, while maintaining confidentiality of all company, employee, and customer data. You will lead a team of 1-2 Certified Payroll Reporting team members, partner cross-functionally with the Project Management team, and ensure wages are paid in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.

ResponsibilitiesLead and guide 1-2 Certified Payroll Reporting team members.Enter accurate and timely HR information and payroll data into the payroll system.Analyze and input timecard data into the computerized payroll system.Ensure employee wages comply with collective bargaining agreements.Resolve or report payroll issues promptly.Process payroll changes including new hires, promotions, terminations, and more.Detect discrepancies before they impact payroll or appear on checks.Respond promptly to management and employee inquiries.Track and submit certified reports for compliance on prevailing wage jobs.Scan and archive payroll-related documents following approved policies.Cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external customers.Essential Skills5+ years of payroll experience.Experience with union and certified payroll reporting.Proficiency in in-house payroll and reconciliation processes.Understanding of prevailing wage requirements.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work independently and lead a small team.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Work Environment

This position offers a flexible work environment with the opportunity to work 100% remotely from any city or state. However, if local to one of the offices, initial in-office work for five days a week is required for the first six months, transitioning to a hybrid schedule thereafter. The organization is in a phase of significant growth, providing full exposure to all aspects of payroll, and the opportunity to be part of a quickly expanding team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.67/hr.
