Payroll & Invoicing Specialist

Description - Onsite in Elkridge

*Must have strong Payroll processing and Invoicing experience*

Payroll Processing:

Process weekly payroll for approximately 30 hourly field employees and 5 salaried office staff

Use ADP to review and verify timesheets, hours worked, wage scales, and pay rates.

Ensure compliance with state wage scale requirements for government related contracting work.

Produce and distribute required payroll reports.

Maintain payroll records and ensure accuracy across all employee groups.

Administer payroll-related benefits entries, including:

- 401(k) profit sharing

- Employer paid health benefits

- Voluntary dental and vision plans

Invoicing

Create and issue client invoices using QuickBooks.

Verify hours, rates, and project details to ensure accurate billing.

Resolve any billing discrepancies in coordination with project managers or clients.

Maintain up to date billing records and support month end processes.

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to perform basic payroll processing on day one.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow through.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.

Basic understanding of employee benefits or willingness to learn.

Preferred:

Associate or bachelor’s degree.

Experience with ADP and QuickBooks.

Payroll and/or invoicing experience in the construction industry (or similar).

Familiarity with state wage scale requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkridge, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $44.00/hr.
