**Position Overview**
Legence is hiring a Payroll Coordinator who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of payroll data to support the timely and efficient processing of payroll. This role involves verifying payroll data, ensuring compliance with 401(k) deposit deadlines, assisting employees with timekeeping issues, and maintaining and updating employee records in the payroll system. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with employees and departments across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Payroll Data Verification: Review and verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness before submission to the bank
+ 401(k) Compliance: Confirm that 401(k) contributions and deposits are submitted accurately and on time, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
+ Employee Support: Proactively contact employees regarding timekeeping submissions, provide guidance on timekeeping processes, and assist with resolving any issues or discrepancies
+ Data Management: Update and maintain employee data in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, changes to pay rates, benefits, and other relevant information
+ Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll data is accurate and up-to-date, and to address any payroll-related inquiries or issues
+ Reporting: Assist in generating and reviewing payroll-related reports to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
**Desired Experience and Qualifications**
+ Experience in payroll coordination, timekeeping, administration or a related role; Union payroll experience preferred
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Strong customer focus with a positive attitude
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Eagerness and ability to learn new technologies
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products; Experience or knowledge of Dayforce, Sage, Deltek, or Spectrum Systems is a plus
+ Possess a sense of urgency to address critical issues
