Job Title: Payroll and Benefits AdministratorJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll & Benefits Specialist to assist in managing our company's employee benefits programs and compensation strategies. This role is crucial for maintaining employee morale and requires collaboration with HR, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure compliance with payroll, benefits, and 401(k) regulations.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing the company’s health & wellness benefits, health savings plans, and 401(k) program.Manage employee leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance and supporting employees during their leave.Act as the primary point of contact for employees with benefits-related questions or concerns.Maintain and ensure accuracy of all employee benefits, including billing, change reporting, enrollment, and review of Medical, Dental, 401K, and Life.Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis regarding company benefits spending and usage.Assist the Manager of Compensation & Benefits in processing employee wages, taxes, and deductions accurately and on time.Manage payroll records meticulously while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.Assist with the design and management of various compensation programs to attract, retain, and motivate talent.Use both external and internal data to ensure our compensation and benefits programs remain competitive and align with market trends.Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support broader HR and organizational initiatives.Help maintain accurate employee benefits records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.Essential Skills5+ years of payroll experience.Experience as a lead in payroll.Experience with computer systems: SAP, ADP, UKG, Ceridian.Experience processing payroll for over 1000 employees.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).Strong knowledge of employer benefit plans and compensation programs.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in HR, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with exposure to compensation and benefits management.Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. The position offers a hybrid working model with 2 days remote and 3 days in the office, with days to be determined in consultation with management. The team currently consists of 2 people. The dress code is business casual.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.41 - $38.94/hr.
