Payroll Analyst - II (Associate)
**We are looking for a** Payroll Analyst **Duration:** 6-Month Contract **Location:** + Charlotte, NC 28262 + Rahway, NJ 07065 _Candidates must be local to either location._ **Max Pay Rate:** $30-35/hr **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented **Payroll Analyst** to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple states, working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role requires hands-on experience with ADP Enterprise, union payroll processing, and an in-depth understanding of payroll compliance regulations. **Key Responsibilities** + Process bi-weekly, multi-state payrolls for over 30,000 US/PR employees. + Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local payroll tax laws and garnishment regulations. + Validate payroll inputs and outputs in coordination with ADP Managed Services. + Audit payroll entries, process legal agreements, vacation payouts, and complex transactions (e.g., Expats, Stock Options). + Manage time and attendance systems, including union CBA and time configuration. + Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve escalated issues. + Support internal and external audits, including documentation and remediation. + Collaborate with HR and Finance to aggregate data for payroll processing. + Use ServiceNow to manage and resolve service tickets. + Participate in payroll-related projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and continuous process improvements. + Contribute to developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation. **Required Skills & Experience** + High school diploma or GED. + Minimum of 3 years in a fast-paced payroll position. + Strong understanding of wage and hour compliance (Federal, State, Local). + Expertise in high-volume payroll processing. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. + Experience using ADP Enterprise System. + Familiarity with time and attendance entries, edits, and configurations. + Previous union payroll processing experience. + Strong written/verbal communication skills and high integrity. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. + Experience using Workday HRIS. + Background working with third-party payroll vendors. + Understanding of HR and Finance interdependencies in payroll. + Experience using ServiceNow. + Knowledge of union CBA and time configuration requirements. + Prior experience in shared services or large-scale enterprise environments.
